 Fall Intersession FAQs for Teachers

Can teachers work both Fall and Spring Intersessions?
No.  One of the intersession weeks must be taken as annual leave.  The state requires 10 annual leave days for 10 month employees.  Five are at Christmas and the other five will be taken during the week of Spring Break (unless the employee chooses to work Intersession that week).  If employees work that week, the additional 5 annual leave days will be deducted in October.

If an employee works the week in October, how will he/she be paid?
All employees who work either Fall or Spring Intersession will be asked to complete a timesheet. Employees will receive their hourly rate of pay based on the number of hours worked during that week.  Intersession compensation will be included in your regular monthly direct deposit.

Will employees lose money in his/her paychecks if they choose not to work either intersession?
No.  Employees will receive the same amount of pay as normal.  Working intersessions will result in additional compensation to be paid out of state and federal tutoring/at-risk funds.
