The Franklin Gem and Mineral Society present Mountain View Intermediate School teacher, Caleb Parham, with a check for $300.00 to purchase mineral test kits and some curriculum materials to teach about plate tectonics. The Macon Bots team is excited about participating in two Halloween events this year. Pumpkinfest on Oct. 19th was a blast and our mascot, TOBOR, got to meet his hero R2D2!
Come visit us in Highlands on Thursday, Oct. 31st outside of Calder’s Coffee and Cafe! We will be giving away Howling Cups and showing off our robot weather permitting.
Students from South Macon Elementary, East Franklin Elementary, Iotla Elementary, Cartoogechaye Elementary, Nantahala School and Mountain View Intermediate attended the STEM-E Student Conference on October 17th at Cherokee Central Schools. Thank you Cherokee Preservation Foundation for supporting this program for our students! Thank you so much to all of our teacher STEM-E coaches from each school for all of their hard work and support of STEM!
