We ended our bear unit with a bear hunt today. We have been learning about the 8 species of bears and even made non-fiction books about each kind. I think the kids in our class and school are amazed with the size of bears.We made a hall display showing the height  of each bear. It's been great to see all the kids in school interacting with the display. You should have seen the More-At Four class measuring themselves in comparison to the little sun bear. The size of the polar bear was taller than our ceiling - that  truly was amazing. At the end of the day, I heard kids saying this was the best day ever......it was just what I wanted, the kids engaged in learning in a fun and memorable way. IT WAS A GREAT DAY!
