Welcome to Title One Reading!

I am very excited to be in my sixth year of teaching. I am blessed to be spending it here with the families and teachers of East Franklin Elementary!  We have wonderful things planned for this school year, when you have time, please drop by and be a part of it.  We would all love to visit you and let you know how you can help make this year successful for our students and community.

As most of you already know a passion of mine is READING! This year I am the Title 1 Reading teacher.  My classroom is located downstairs near the fourth grade classes.  My groups are focusing on learning to read through the help of Symbol Imagery.  Once we have mastered "learning to read" we will switch over to "reading to learn" and explore all that we can in order to build upon our background knowledge.

A little about me:

My husband and I have been married for 15 fabulous years and we have three amazing gifts from God; Noah, Myah Glory, and Sarah.  Our family has two boxers named Sidda and Ellie.  We love to hike, camp, and geocache (treasure hunt with our GPS) as much as possible.  I also love to cuddle up with a "good-fit book" and get lost in an adventure.  Best of...I am the biggest fan of the SIX time Superbowl Champs...the PITTSBURGH STEELERS, GO PITTSBURGH!
