Welcome to First Grade!

I am happy you are visiting our first grade website! My name is Dawn Watson.  I graduated from Western Carolina University with a degree in Elementary Education.  I have taught at East Franklin Elementary since 1996.  I am married and have two children.

We hope you and your child are ready for a wonderful year of first grade experiences.  We want to make this a very pleasant and memorable year for your child.  We have many new and exciting things to learn in first grade.  It is a year of learning to read and work independently.  We have many fun reading, math, science, and social studies activities planned.  Feel free to visit our room throughout the year, join us for lunch or come in and volunteer.  We would love to have you!
