Welcome to Mrs. Holland's

First Grade! 

I am happy you are visiting our first grade website!  My name is Laura Holland.  I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Asheville (UNCA) and have a degree in Psychology and Elementary Education.  I later returned to school at Western Carolina University and completed my Master's Degree in Elementary Education.   This will be my 12th year of teaching, 10 years of which have been in first grade.  I am married and have two little boys, Barrett, 5 years old, and Ben, just born this past summer.  I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, playing the flute, going to church, and couponing. 

I hope this will be a fun, enjoyable, and memorable first grade year.  We have many fun reading, math, science, and social studies activities planned.  We are excited about this year!  Please feel free to visit our room anytime or come eat lunch with us!
