Welcome to our class site! My name is Mrs. Collins and I am one of the Agricultural teachers at FHS. I would like to take just a minute of your time to introduce myself to you. I am from Macon County and I graduated from FHS in 1997. After graduating I went to college at Lee University in Cleveland TN. I started out in Elementary Education and loved the teaching aspect of my major but as I progressed through my college classes I realized that something was missing so half way through my junior year of college I decided that the time was now to follow my dream. In the back of my mind I had always wanted to teach Agriculture. I am a country gal and I love being outside, on the farm and enjoying what God has given us. So, I applied and got accepted to South Dakota State University where I majored in Agriculture. I graduated from there and realised that I needed to "step up" the education aspect of my degree. So, I traveled back to the south and applied to Clemson University where I got accepted and completed my masters in Education. I have been here at FHS since 2007. I enjoy teaching and look forward to having your son or daughter in class!
