I was born eons ago, in a galaxy far, far away, in a land known as New York. While I spent the first five years of my life in Brooklyn, I grew to adulthood on "The Island," known to outsiders as Long Island.
My youth was spent on the south shore in a town called Bay Shore.
I graduated from Bay Shore High School, then went to Suffolk Community College, where I decided to teach English.
After graduating from Suffolk, I went to upstate New York to the outpost known as The State University College of Oneonta. Here I received my Bachelor of Arts in English.
For my Master of Arts degree, I went to The State University of New York at Stony Brook. I graduated in May and moved to Florida in July.
For my first five years, I subbed at various schools until I was hired at a middle school as a drafting teacher. Eventually that became a drafting/ English teacher. Finally, I was just an English teacher.
After twenty years, I moved to North Carolina. After teaching for three years in Rabun County, I found a home at Franklin High School.
