Hello to everyone! My name is Joshua C. Johnson, and I have been a member of the Franklin High School Social Studies Department for 11 years. I was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and I moved to Polk County, NC (Western North Carolina, about 40 miles south of Asheville) when I was 8-years-old, so I know what it is like to have grown up in the Western Carolinas. I attended Polk County High School and graduated from there in 1996. I am a 1996 recipient of the North Carolina Teaching Fellows Scholarship, and I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Western Carolina University in May of 2000. I joined the Franklin High School Social Studies Staff in August of 2000 after finishing my student-teaching experience at Franliklin High Scool in the Spring of 2000. We have a great staff of social studies teachers at Franklin High School, and I am honored to be among them. It is my pleasure having you as a member of one of my classes this semester. I look forward to great experience.
