Technology Support

Macon Early College has the honor of being a pilot program in the 1:1 Laptop Initiative, a partnership that was formed to provide laptops to students and teachers in school districts in North Carolina.  The program was initiated by former NC Governor, Mike Easley.  Partners include The William and Ida Friday Institute for Educational Innovation, Golden LEAF, SAS Institute, Inc., The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, and The North Carolina New Schools Project.

I am the Instructional Technology Facilitator for Macon Early College.  It is my responsibility to help teachers and students use the laptops and other technologies to enhance the learning process and prepare for life in the 21st century.

If you have questions concerning laptop use or policies, please e-mail me at mary.trotter@macon.k12.nc.us
