To Mrs. Pettit's 2011-2012 First Grade

As we begin the second semester of first grade we will continue to strive for the following:

• To read fluently with automaticity (no slow downs).
• To read 100% of the first grade sight words without hesitation.
• To read and test AR books to help improve our STAR scores.
• To master our math facts to 20 in both addition and subtraction.
• To write good sentences with capitals and end marks.
• To be responsible learners who are good listeners, stay on task, and follow rules.
• To be respectful to peers and adults by treating others as we would like to be treated.

We believe that open home/school communication is a key to every child's success! Thank you for your on-going involvement in our year of working hand in hand together to make this the best year ever!
