Macon Middle > For Students > 8th grade > Ryan Haley

Ryan Haley
This begins my 10th year at Macon Middle. I am excited to be teaching students about NC History and US History by showing them how to understand and appreciate how our state and country was born and more importantly how our nation became a world power in the 20th century. My goal is to provide the necessary tools for each and every student to gain maturity and be successful in the future.

I was born and raised in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. I attended Palm Beach Community College with the idea of getting into Law Enforcement as a career. After earning my A.A. degree, I decided the fast city life of South Florida wasn't for me. I moved to Boone, NC and attended Appalachian State. The slower pace and mountain life was the ideal lifestyle.  In 2000, I graduated with a B.S. degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in History. My next move was Charlotte, NC. I worked for First Union National Bank as a Fraud Analyst working fraudulent debit and credit card cases. On a whim, myself and a few friends wanted to move to Franklin, NC. In 2000, I arrived to Franklin and started coaching baseball for Franklin HS and began my teaching career at Macon Middle.
