Hi!  I am Mrs. Wessling and am thrilled to be teaching at Macon Middle School!  I am originally from Ohio, but left the suburbs for the peace of these beautiful mountains! I am the proud mother of seven amazing sons and daughters.  Yes, I am also a grandmother! 

After receiving a B.S. in Middle Grades Education from Western Carolina University, I taught for a short time in the Asheville area, but prefer a more small town environment. 

My passions are reading and history.  I love both!  In my class, I hope to empower your students to understand the need to read, read, read.  We read everything:  street signs, magazines, newspapers, fiction, non-fiction, and  lots of primary sources related to history.
