President's Message...
South Macon Elementary PTO is an active and engaged organization. It has been my privilege to be involved with PTO for several years, and now act as it's president. We have many talented and hard working officers , coordinators, and volunteers that help our organization succeed. We meet the first Tuesday of each month, at 3:30 in the media room. All parents, staff, and guardians are invited to join us.
We always need volunteers! Wildcat Frenzy, Book Fair, Carnation sales, and Field Day are days when we always need as many volunteers as possible.
Our projects this year include money for each classroom, paw prints on entrances, purchasing drawing paper for art classes, front flower beds upkeep, financing a traveling planetarium, and working on sun block in the lunchroom and library. We also do "Teacher Appreciation Week", Field Day, and ongoing spirit activities.
We use the money that we raise to help the teachers, students , and school in the best way possible. With the economy as bad as it is, we will support the school in the purchasing of certain supplies if needed. We work closely with the administration to do what is best for the school and it's staff and students.
We look forward to having new members and are open to suggestions. Let's all work together to make South Macon Elementary school a reflection of our great community!
Kerri Moschouris, President
