STEM Storywalk now available!

Thank you to the Macon County READ to ME program for organizing the first portable StoryWalk with the theme of STEM!  Thank you also the our sponsors:  Franklin Tubular, Friends of the Macon County Library, State Farm, Edward Jones Investments, Lions Club, Entegra Bank, Culpepper’s Architectural Salvage, TekTone, Tate landscaping Services, The Highlander, Signs Express and Jimbo’s plumbing.  The StoryWalk was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Vermont Bicycle and Pedestrian Coalition and the Kellogg-Hubbard Library.

This StoryWalk follows the picture book “Mouse House Tales” by Susan Pearson and illustrated by Amanda Shepherd.  It is published by Blue Apple Books.

As you read the story, there are activities for younger and older children to do that relate to STEM.  There are 13 panels that can be used inside or outside!  They are great for outdoor classrooms, activities, parties, reunions and other special events.  If you are interested in checking these out, please contact Jennifer Love at
