Just a reminder — Monday, October 13, 2025 is a mandatory teacher workday. There will be no school for students. Students will return on Tuesday, October 14, 2025.
Have a great weekend!

Today and every day we honor the incredible custodial staff who keep our schools clean, safe, and running smoothly each day. From classrooms to cafeterias, hallways to gym floors—you are the quiet heroes behind the scenes who make learning possible.
Your dedication, hard work, and care for our students, staff, and buildings do not go unnoticed. Thank you for everything you do to support our schools and community!

October is National Principal Month!
We’re sending a huge THANK YOU to our amazing principals who lead with heart, dedication, and vision every single day.
From early mornings to late nights, your commitment to students, staff, and families doesn't go unnoticed. We see you, we appreciate you, and we LOVE our principals!
Reach out and thank a principal today!

The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the 2025-2026 budget and prioritize capital outlay items. Other items may be discussed and action taken as needed.

At last night’s Board of Education meeting, the Macon County Board of Education approved by a 3-2 vote a new “bell-to-bell” cell phone use policy for the district. Board Member Diedre Breeden made the motion, seconded by Board Member Stephanie Laseter. Board Members Jim Breedlove and Hilary Wilkes opposed the motion. This means student cell phone use will be restricted from the first bell to the last bell during the school day. The complete Board Policy 4318- Use of Wireless Communication Devices is shown for your review.

We were proud to share district updates and spotlight the incredible work happening in our Career & Technical Education (CTE) program. Preparing our students for future success is a team effort, and we’re grateful for a community that supports education and workforce development.
