Senior Award Night Date: Thursday, May 15th Time: 6:00 PM Location: Smoky Mountain Center for the Performing Arts Due to ongoing construction that has limited parking during the school day, Class Day and Scholarship Night have been combined into one special evening: Senior Award Night. All FHS Seniors, along with their friends and family, are warmly invited to attend this celebration of achievements. In addition to recognizing our outstanding students, we will also honor the FHS Teacher of the Year and FHS Support Person of the Year during the event. **Students selected to receive awards or scholarships have been notified in person or via their school email. Please note: Caps and gowns will not be worn. Recommended attire is dressy casual.

In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, we would now like to publicly recognize these two outstanding individuals for their incredible contributions to our school community. Teacher of the Year: Ms. Jennifer Angel Ms. Angel, a valued member of the FHS History Department, is a truly remarkable educator. She consistently goes above and beyond for her students, building relationships that foster trust, respect, and engagement. Her rapport with students is second to none. This year, Ms. Angel has been a living example of perseverance and resilience, and we are proud to have her represent FHS as our 2025 Teacher of the Year. Support Person of the Year: Ms. Kim Ensley Ms. Ensley joined FHS from Macon Middle School with a passion for supporting students through her work in the counseling department. From the moment she arrived, she made an immediate impact—establishing a clothing closet to meet the needs of any student. What began as an idea has grown into a vital resource overflowing with supplies. With a caseload of over 500 students, Ms. Ensley provides unwavering support and stability while continuously advocating for those she serves. She is always ready to lend a hand wherever needed on campus and is an essential part of our school community. We are incredibly fortunate to have Ms. Angel and Ms. Ensley at Franklin High School. Attention Parents and students! Rising Juniors and Seniors who registered for a fall semester community college placeholder need to meet with our SCC representative to register for their course. Tuesday and Thursday of next week will be the last opportunities to meet her on campus this year. Sign up in the counseling office for an appointment. You may also contact her over the summer to register before the August 1 deadline.
