There is no school April 1st and 2nd. These are teacher workdays. April 3rd is a holiday - no school.

Mrs. Teem's class would like to say THANK YOU for all the support for our Hearts Around The World project. Our class received over 100 cards from many places including 37 states, Sweden, Brazil, Africa, Germany, and India!

The South Macon PTO will be having their Drive-Thru Iced Coffee fundraiser tomorrow, Tuesday, March 24th, during morning car rider drop-off! Iced Coffees will be $5.00 (cash only), and vanilla and caramel flavors will be available.

Due to current weather conditions & the forecast for below freezing temperatures overnight and early morning, Macon County Schools- Franklin area -will operate on a 3-hour delay for tomorrow, Tuesday, March 17, 2026 with no buses on icy roads.

Iced Coffee for tomorrow morning, Tuesday, March 17th is postponed until next Tuesday, March 24th due to possible winter weather. Thank you for your understanding and support!

It's officially time! Both Book Fair and Read Across America take place this week: March 2-5th. Students can shop at the Book Fair during class assigned times, before school (7:30-8:00), and on our Family Night, Tuesday, 4PM-7PM. To celebrate Read Across America, students are invited to participate in our different reading themes each day. They will also get small reading prizes and there will be reading guests in our school during the week.

Reminder that Read Across America week begins on Monday, March 2nd! Bring a Reading Buddy to school on Monday (but not a live one)!

South Macon's strawberry orders will be delivered on Thursday, March 5th! You can pick them up at school from 9:00 to 2:00!

We are one week away from SME's Book Fair and Read Across America: March 2nd-5th. Information should be going home with your child this week about both of these events.
