The Affordable Connectivity Program was created by the FCC to help households struggling to pay for internet service. As part of that effort, the FCC is mobilizing people and organizations to help raise awareness about the ACP. The materials in the link below are available for public use, and you can download and customize them to meet your needs. Eligible households can enroll in the ACP through an approved provider or by visiting GetInternet.gov

Tomorrow, Friday, October 20, 2023 will be a teacher workday for Franklin area schools. (This does not include Macon Early College. Macon Early College will be in session.)
Students in the Franklin area will return to class on Monday, October 23, 2023.

On October 2nd, National Custodian Worker's Recognition Day encourages appreciation to the employees who keep our schools running smoothly. Custodial workers operate behind the scenes. They are the first line of defense of the war on germs and often, it's a thankless task. So, on National Custodian Day, show your appreciation to your school custodian!

NC Governor's School- A summer program for gifted and talented high school students.
Today is a great day in Macon County! Our very own Superintendent of Schools Mr. Josh Lynch was asked to judge the Special Friends Goat Show this morning at the Macon County Fair. What a great time! Congratulations to all our winners! If you haven't visited the Macon County Fair, it is a must!
A very special THANK YOU to VFW Auxiliary Post 7339 for all of the school supplies that were donated this morning. We are so thankful for a community that continuously supports our students! Macon County Schools is now accepting lunch applications and meal payments.
If your student attends Cartoogechaye Elementary, East Franklin Elementary, Iotla Valley Elementary, Macon Early College, Macon Middle, Mountain View Intermediate, Nantahala, South Macon, or Union, they will receive meals at no cost as a part of the Community Eligibility Provision for the 2023-2024 school year. We do still encourage meal applications to help your child/children with other eligibilities and to help support the school district.
Macon County Schools is utilizing a new system and parent portal where you can submit meal applications and pay meal fees. Macon County Schools is no longer using lunchapplication.com or K12 Payment Center, and you are now unable to make payments with your old account.
To continue making meal payments, please create a new account at https://www.linqconnect.com
You may also submit meal applications through LINQ Connect for the current school year.
